The Audi A3 has instant appeal to today's car shoppers in San Diego. The A3 has been available since 1996, and the 2019 and 2020 model years are both included in the third generation. Notably, the 2020 A3 will be the last model year for the current generation. Today's A3 is the perfect image of modern refinement and superior athleticism. The Audi A3 for 2019 and 2020 have interesting similarities, and the 2020 model year has a few changes that you should be aware of before you pick out your new car from Audi San Diego.

Performance

The performance capabilities for the 2020 Audi A3 are mostly unchanged from the 2019 model year. Its primary powertrain is a TFSI 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter gas engine that will impress you with 184 horsepower. If you crave more power, you can choose the S-Line alternative to enjoy 228 horsepower. For both model years, the A3 is outfitted with front MacPherson struts, Quattro all-wheel drive, a 4-link suspension in the rear, and other equipment. A critical update to the 2020 model is that selectable driving modes are now standard equipment.

Appearance

Several updates have been made to the 2020 Audi A3 from a cosmetic standpoint. For example, the popular Quantum Gray hue is available for the first time in the 2020 model year as an exterior color option. The cabriolet or convertible version of the A3 and the top-of-the-line Prestige trim are no longer available. The standard wheel size for the 2019 A3 is 17 inches, and this grows to 18 inches for the 2020 A3. The profile and overall exterior style are unchanged between the model years. If you take home the 2020 Audi A3 Premium or Premium Plus, you can choose to add puddle lamps with the Audi emblem to your car's exterior.

Features

Numerous updates have been made to the list of features available in the Audi A3 for the 2020 model year. All equipment that was optional in the Black Optic package for the 2019 model year is now standard. These include an anti-theft security system, keyless entry, and a push-button starter. The Premium Plus trim for 2020 now has rear USB charging ports, high beam assistance, and a standard Bang & Olufsen sound system. The Final Edition package is optional for the 2020 model year's Premium, and Premium Plus trims, and this package includes a flat-bottomed steering wheel, contrast stitching on red or black leather material, and sport seats. All other features carry over unchanged.
